Lamu is and old Arabic-Swahili
city on the Lamu island .
There are about 17000 people living there, most of them have immigrated from
Arabic countries
during the 1800 and 1900 centuries.
The town has not changed since then, still no cars are allowed and the only
ways of transportation are
dhows and donkeys.

Wood
art like the famous Lamu door and furniture have been created ever since then.
