| Will we be met at the airport? | Yes, all guests are always met at Manda airport and taken by dhow to Lamu and the hotel. Dhow transport is included in hotel price. There will also be porters taking care of your luggage, their tips are not included. |
| How much does it cost to stay in hotel Jannat House? | You will find the rates here. You can also have the exact total price calculated here. |
| How can I find out if there are any available rooms when I want to come? | You can check yourself here |
| Are there mosquito nets in the rooms? | Yes, in all rooms. Also the tents used on excursions are mosquito safe. |
| How far is it to the beach? | The closest are 5 minutes walk away. Shela beach is 45 minutes walk away or 15 minutes by dhow. Read more about beaches here. The hotel is situated in the old town, close to the main street. |
| Are there any dangerous animals on the island? | No, no snakes, spiders, sharks or anything like them. |
| Do I get discount if I stay more than 2 days? | No, but you will always get 10% discount when making the reservation online. Staying more than 8 days will also give you a further 10%. |
| Can I choose B&B when I make the reservation, and then upgrade to half board at arrival? | Yes of course . |
| Is it safe on the island? | Yes it is, almost no crime at all. |
| How do I get to Lamu? | By air or by bus from Mombassa, which could be combined with train transport from Nairobi. Read more. |
| Are there any ATM on Lamu? | Yes there is one at the KCB bank. Also there is one in the arrival hall at Nairobi international airport . |
| Can I choose which room I want when making the reservation online? | You can put your room request in the comment field, and we will book it for you if it is available. |
| At what time do you serve breakfast , lunch and dinner? | Breakfast at 7-10 am, lunch at 11 am - 2 pm and dinner at 7-9 pm . |
| What happens if I prepaid for a room and need to cancel? What happens if cannot get to the hotel due to illness? |

| Can I reserve a double room for myself? | Yes you can, the price will be the same as for the double room less 1 breakfast (4$) per day |
| Can we pay by card to the hotel? | Yes you can with VISA and Mastercard if the amount is at least 10$. We also charge 5% fee. |
| Is there a safe in the hotel to keep money, passport etc.? | There is a safe free of charge in the office. |
| Are there air condition (AC) in the rooms? | No, but no glass windows either, so the soothing wind from the Indian Ocean will do the trick |
