Basecamp

The camp is 6 hours away from Nairobi, you can also fly there for about 100 US$,
however, you will experience a lot on the roads as well.

  
The camp is founded behind a bend of the                                     Entrance to Basecamp from the other side of the river
river Talek,you can see the vegetation following the river.  
                           

  
Simple to cross the river by foot.                                                  A short walk up to the main building

  
You stay in comfortable tents with bathrooms and warm water                                                

  
Outside is a small terrace approx 50 m from the river                      The camp is using only solar panels.

  
Breakfast served in the green surroundings                                                    ... with a matching masai-red colour

  
Lunch too is very colourful                                                       

  
If you prefer, you can have lunch or dinner on the 1st floor,    During night time, the Masais are watching by the fire.
with a beautiful view towards the plain

  
From the tree house you sometimes can spot the leopard that is walking around the camp every morning.

Basecamp guides can take you to a Masai village nearby the camp.
  
The villages are always surrounded by sticky bushes                     This is a typical masai house built from cow shit  
in order to protect against wild animals.                                     It takes 6 month to build, and will last for 6 years.

Then there is the safari of course.
