Roots of man
Researchers have known for a long time that the roots of man are found in Easter Africa.
In the Rift valley, just north of Nairobi, some of the oldest findings have been found.
New results now tell us also how they started to spread from there all over the world.
The modern man as we know her was evolutionary ready 200 000 years ago.
Despite this fact, it was not until 70 000 years ago that man started to leave Africa.
By that time, only around 2000-6000 people existed.
Suddenly, they develop and achieve new abilities like language and creativity.
At the same time they started to spread to areas that today consist of the Arabic countries.
Very rapidly they continued to South East Asia and as far as to Australia.
After that they also started to spread north through the Middle East up to Europe.
Some of them turned south again and walked towards the Northern side and then on to the Western side of Africa.
On their way, they also pushed away the Neanderthals.
Why the man waited for so long time until start spreading is still a bit of a mystery.
The scientists are talking about a "creative explosion", when man suddenly started to be more inventive,
got a language and also new social structures. Some people think God's finger caused this dramatically change.
Some speaks of a great volcano outburst, causing dryness and hard living conditions, which forced the strongest ones only to survive.

These routs can also be traced in the DNA among people living in these areas today.
So come to Kenya and feel your roots!
