The Tana river expedition
Day
1
We leave Lamu in the sunrise, set sail for a 4-5 hours trip south.
On arrival at the Tana river delta we will eat a fantastic lunch, freshly
caught fish cooked on-board by our fabulous chef.
The afternoon could be spent visiting the village of Kipini, see the mangrove forest or going an a safari (locale prices).
The night is spent camping on the beach, close to the village of Kipini.
Day
2
Next morning early, we go slowly up the beautiful Tana river, seeing
villages and canoes passes before you. Finally, we will see crocodiles, rhinos
and other animals.
We can also make a stop by a jungle village to see
how they live, completely isolated from all civilization.
Lunch is served
during the tour, and we can get fresh coconuts and bananas from the
farmers.
In the afternoon we will return to the camp for a swim, and in the evening
we all will enjoy another tasteful dinner under the stars
Day 3
The
next morning we set sails again, and if the weather is good, half way
back we can make a stop at a white coral island, where lunch is served and
you have the option of snorkeling on the coral reefs or just to swim and
sun bath.
